Martimucci Maritati is a typical Apulian fresh pasta shape that combines two different pasta formats: orecchiette and maccheroni. Just as the name suggests, ‘maritati’ means ‘married’ in Italian, and this pasta was traditionally served at Salento weddings as a symbol of the union between the two spouses, wishing them a good marriage.
